EFCC Arraigns ‘Blessing CEO’ Over Alleged ₦36m Rental Scam
The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the EFCC has brought a two-count charge against self-styled relationship therapist Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, known online as ‘Blessing CEO’. She faces allegations of obtaining ₦36 million by false pretence and stealing after promising to lease a six-bedroom Lekki duplex that did not exist. At the arraignment before Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, defence counsel informed the court that part of the funds had been refunded. The prosecution urged the court to require a plea, while the judge ruled that discussions between the defence and complainant could continue without delaying the hearing. The defendant pleaded not guilty and will remain in EFCC custody pending bail. The trial is now set to begin on June 5, 2026.
