Governors in the Progressives Governors Forum have pledged over ₦800 billion to the campaign war chest. A recent funding dispute was settled after the President intervened to recover and reallocate contributions. Yari’s strong influence in the Northwest zone, loyalty to the president, and track record in government earned him this key role as the APC aims to shore up support in its biggest voting region.
