Theme: Deliverance from Material Burdens Memory Verse: “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten…” (Joel 2:25). Bible Reading: Haggai 1:2-8. God warns against putting personal comfort over His work. The Israelites built fine homes while God’s house lay waste, so they sowed much but reaped little. Yet He delights in restoring what seems lost. The widow of Zarephath saw her last meal sustain her through famine, illustrating God’s power to multiply our needs. A modern testimony tells of a wealthy man who lost all his cars and money until he turned to Christ. He went from walking the streets of Lagos to dedicating two new homes in gratitude. When we seek God’s kingdom first, He promises material restoration and supernatural abundance. Prayer: Lord Jesus, I bring every debt, lack, and financial burden to You today. Help me to seek Your righteousness, trust Your provision, and experience Your restoration. Amen. Bible in One Year: Isaiah 1–3
