Are Nigeria’s Three Arms Governing Us or Just Serving Themselves?
I’m worried about Nigeria’s direction. We learned that the Executive, Legislature, and Judiciary should check each other. But today they seem to serve their own interests instead of ours. The Executive borrows and mismanages funds. Contracts vanish, projects exist only on paper, and everyday Nigerians struggle to eat, commute, and survive. Our legislators vote to boost their allowances but claim “no money” for minimum wage or palliatives. The courts move swiftly for the connected yet delay cases for ordinary citizens. I don’t have all the answers. Something must change, and it starts with honest conversations. What do you think — am I overreacting, or have we just normalized this reality?
