Ghana FA Sacks Otto Addo After 2-1 Friendly Loss to Germany
Otto Addo has been relieved of his duties as head coach of Ghana’s senior men’s national team, the Black Stars, the Ghana Football Association announced. The decision followed a 2-1 defeat to Germany in March. The GFA, the Sports Ministry and Addo met to discuss the team’s future before reaching this resolution. The association thanked Addo for his contributions and wished him well in his next role. A new technical direction will be communicated in due course. The Black Stars will face Mexico and Wales in May as their final warm-up fixtures ahead of the World Cup in North America.
