In a press statement, the Nigerian Medical Association, Delta State branch, denied that Dr Odigwe diagnosed Blessing with breast cancer. It also clarified he lives in Asaba, not Enugu. The association said Blessing doctored a medical report that belonged to Mbara Deborah. They called on authorities to protect the public from such fraud. During an Arise TV interview, Dr Adefunke Arowolo exposed the forgery live. Blessing unknowingly presented a report that is already at the centre of a lawsuit. Blessing told Egugun she will not apologise for donations totalling about N13 million. She insists she relied on information she believed from the doctor. She and her partner have deactivated their Instagram accounts after the backlash.
