“I Was Scared to Breathe Holding You”: Priscilla Ojo Celebrates Son’s 9-Month Milestone

“I Was Scared to Breathe Holding You”: Priscilla Ojo Celebrates Son’s 9-Month Milestone — 1 of 5
1 / 5

Priscilla Ojo is marking a special moment as her son Rakeem turns nine months old. She shared sweet photos to reflect on the day he arrived so tiny and fragile that she feared even to breathe. Now he’s full of life and curiosity. Over these nine months, Rakeem’s smiles, belly laughs and wobbly steps have filled her days with joy. She’s watched him learn to crawl, pull himself up to stand, and even take his first steps using a moving machine. Every milestone, she says, melts her heart. In a recent post, Priscilla showed how she and her husband Juma guide him through the stairs and protect him as he explores. She also explained why she hides his face online until she feels the time is right. The proud mum and dad first welcomed Prince Raheem Ayomide Mkambala on August 24, and even celebrated his 40-day milestone with close family and friends abroad. Today, they count every giggle and step as blessings.

Did anyone else find Priscilla's description of holding Rakeem so fragile almost heart-stopping? How do parents handle that early anxiety?

Are you asking if that breathless panic is common or how parents should cope with it?

It's interesting how these milestone posts emphasize the worry we'd all feel, yet we rarely see the raw struggles behind those perfect photos.

I usually shrug off these milestone posts, but Priscilla's 'scared to breathe' moment actually cuts through the usual sugarcoating.

I get being cautious, but sharing every detail might actually add more pressure on new moms than it relieves.

Maybe keeping a small journal of baby's first months can help parents capture memories without feeling overwhelmed by constant photo updates online.
