Ogoni Hotel Worker Sacked for Peter Obi Rally Wins Job and Scholarship
A young woman from Ogoni, Rivers State, lost her hotel job after attending a Peter Obi rally on her day off. Her employer saw her post online and dismissed her the next day, telling her to ask Peter Obi for work. Upon hearing her story, I verified the details with my chief of staff and learned she earned only ₦18,000 a month. Outraged by this injustice, I offered her a position at OPM Printing Press and enrolled her in our local university scholarship programme. She passed JAMB and is now a final-year Accounting student at Ignatius Ajuru University, balancing lectures with work. This case shows how we can uplift the disadvantaged when the powerful turn their backs on them.
