Former United defender Rio Ferdinand has called on his old club to pursue veteran striker Robert Lewandowski after his confirmed exit from Barcelona. The 37-year-old Pole will be available on a free transfer when his contract ends in June. Ferdinand took to social media to praise Lewandowski’s quality and highlighted how his experience could boost United’s Champions League hopes and mentor young forward Benjamin Sesko. During his four seasons at Barcelona, Lewandowski scored 119 goals and set up 24 more in 191 appearances, helping the Catalans clinch LaLiga and other honours.
