Bandits Abduct Kebbi High Court Judge From His Residence

Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza of the Kebbi State High Court has reportedly been abducted by suspected bandits from his residence on Zogirma Road in Bunza Local Government Area. The gunmen reportedly struck around midnight shortly after the judge returned from Sokoto. No one else was injured during the attack, according to sources. Kebbi Police spokesperson Bashir Usman confirmed the abduction, saying the Commissioner of Police had deployed tactical and intelligence teams to search identified locations, including forest areas, and secure the judge’s release. The Kebbi State High Court management has also met security agencies as efforts continue to rescue the judge. No group has claimed responsibility.
