Bomb Plot Foiled in Akure: Ondo Police Arrest Six Suspects

The Ondo State Police Command has intercepted a planned bomb attack on Akure, securing six suspects and recovering materials for improvised explosive devices. The operation followed credible intelligence on a syndicate based in a rented apartment at Oke-Odu. Commissioner of Police Adebowale Lawal described it as a landmark success after officers swooped in and seized bottles, sugar, mobile phones, cash, laptops, weapons, identity cards and motorcycles. In a related crackdown, ten suspected cultists were also arrested in Ondo Town, including a suspected kingpin known as “T-Money.” Seized items included a firearm, cutlasses, a battle axe and cult insignia. The commissioner urged residents to stay vigilant, share information with security agencies and ensure thorough tenant screening by landlords.

I doubt say just arresting six suspects go end this threat if bigger network dey untracked.
