The Ogun State government has confirmed a gas pipeline leak in Ijebu Ode that exposed 60 students to gas. The incident occurred at Our Lady of Apostle Primary and Secondary Schools on Wednesday. The Commissioner for Environment said the leak came from a company’s pipeline and vowed to shut down the faulty section immediately. This is the third gas leak in Ijebu Ode over the last three months, with two previous incidents reported in April 2026. Authorities say they are taking urgent steps to prevent a recurrence.
