Before exploring Trade Nigeria, it’s essential to understand the institution behind it. The National Brands Development and Made in Nigeria Project Office operates under the Secretary to the Government of the Federation in Abuja, with headquarters at The Shagari House in the Three Arm Zone. Although conversations on promoting Nigerian-made goods began in 2006 at global forums such as the Nigeria–Singapore Economic Forum, the office was officially established in 2023. This milestone marks a significant push toward industrial self-reliance. Permanent Secretary Richard Pheelangwah is widely credited with institutionalizing the initiative.
