Kebbi Hisbah Arrests Man Found Hiding in Bag at Married Woman’s Home

Operatives of the Kebbi State Hisbah Board arrested a man hiding inside a ‘Ghana Must-Go’ bag at a married woman’s residence in Birnin Kebbi’s Badariya area. The Director of Sharia Affairs said neighbours alerted Hisbah around 12:15am on May 18 after suspecting an illicit affair. Initial permission to search was denied but later granted. Officers discovered the suspect concealed in the bag. Both he and the woman admitted to a romantic relationship. They will face court proceedings under Islamic law.
