Nigeria’s Top Law School Graduate 2026 Wins 12 Academic Awards
Every year, thousands gather in Abuja for the Nigerian Law School’s Call to Bar. Among 6,009 successful candidates this year, one student stood out. Israel Adeniyi Adekunle emerged as the overall best graduating student. He topped the final exams and claimed 12 academic prizes donated by leading figures in the legal profession. He described the moment as a humbling end to a demanding journey and received handshakes from the Chief Justice of Nigeria, the Attorney-General, and the Chairman of the Body of Benchers. Already a two-time best graduating student at the University of Ilorin Law Faculty, Israel was later honoured by the ABS Foundation with a ₦2,000,000 award to support his next steps in the profession.
