I’m a final-year student at a prominent Lagos university. I’m friendly and get along well with my coursemates. There’s a female coursemate I’m close to, but we’re just friends. I didn’t see her in class for a week. When I finally met her at the school gate, I greeted her and playfully blocked her path. She yelled at me in front of everyone, telling me to leave her alone. I felt deeply humiliated and left immediately. I understand she might have been in a bad mood, but her outburst seemed unfair.
