Lagos Police Commission Ultra-Modern IGP Kayode Egbetokun Conference Hall

Lagos Police Commission Ultra-Modern IGP Kayode Egbetokun Conference Hall

The Lagos Police Command has commissioned its new ultra-modern “I-G Kayode Egbetokun Conference Hall” at the Ikeja headquarters. The facility was unveiled by Assistant Inspector-General Olohundare Jimoh, who initiated the project while serving as Commissioner of Police in Lagos State. Designed to host operational planning, intelligence sharing, strategic meetings, training programmes and press briefings, the hall reflects a commitment to innovation and institutional transformation within the Nigeria Police Force. Both Mr Jimoh and Commissioner Fatai Tijani hailed the completion as a major milestone for officer welfare, efficiency and public service. Former IGP Kayode Egbetokun, who laid the foundation in 2025, described the project as a lasting legacy of visionary leadership and professional excellence.

Honestly, all the sleek halls in the world won't change policing culture or reduce crime if leadership fails to engage with neighbourhood realities.

The command could host public seminars at the new hall to strengthen police-citizen dialogue and transparency across Lagos communities.
