When Life Knocks You Down: Showing Compassion to Those in Need

Everyone faces seasons of struggle. Loss, sickness, failure or unexpected adversity can humble anyone, no matter their status or faith. Instead of criticism, we are called to offer compassion. A listening ear, a word of hope, practical help or financial support can show God’s love. Galatians 6:2 reminds us to bear one another’s burdens. Even David experienced moments of weakness. His life teaches that no one is immune to difficult seasons. Our true spiritual maturity shows when we support those who cannot repay us. Question for reflection: How do I respond when I meet someone in the lowest point of their life?
