SPAN Nigeria: Goals and Structure of the Students’ Physiological Association

SPAN stands for the Students’ Physiological Association of Nigeria. It unites undergraduate Physiology students across the country. Its core mission is to promote academic excellence, protect student welfare, and foster cooperation between chapters. Key objectives include organizing symposiums and quiz competitions, supporting research activities, and advocating for student interests before national bodies. SPAN also builds leadership through executive roles, a senate, a judiciary, and specialized training programs. The association is structured into a National Body led by the National President, Zonal Bodies across six geopolitical zones, and university-based chapters. This layout ensures effective coordination of policies, events, and professional networking for members.
