Drake Makes History by Claiming No. 1, 2 and 3 on the Billboard 200
Drake has become the first artist ever to occupy the top three spots on the Billboard 200 in the same week. His new album ICEMAN debuted at No. 1 with 463,000 equivalent album units for the week ending May 21. Fellow releases HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR landed at No. 2 and No. 3 with 114,000 and 110,000 units respectively. This milestone also marks Drake’s 15th No. 1 on the Billboard 200, moving him past Jay-Z among solo male artists and tying him with Taylor Swift among all solo acts. Only The Beatles, with 19 chart-topping albums, still lead. Billboard notes that ICEMAN’s first-week numbers were driven heavily by streaming, racking up over 462 million on-demand plays. Both HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR also surpassed 100 million streams each in their debut weeks.
