Ajimobi Dismisses Allegations of Involvement in Makinde Impeachment Plot

Former First Lady of Oyo State and ambassador-designate to Austria, Florence Ajimobi, has firmly rejected claims that she plotted with lawmakers to impeach Governor Seyi Makinde. In a statement from her media office, she described the allegations as false, baseless and politically motivated. She emphasized she did not convene or participate in any meeting—either in Lagos or elsewhere—linked to impeachment discussions or attempts to destabilize the state government. Ajimobi noted that other prominent legislators have also denied any role in the supposed scheme. She warned that continuing to spread these false reports could lead to legal action and urged the public to disregard the disinformation.
