FRSC Launches “Operation Fushin Zuma” to Curb Traffic Offences in Four States
The FRSC RS1 Zonal Command has rolled out “Operation Fushin Zuma” across Kaduna, Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states to boost compliance with road safety regulations. Assistant Corps Marshal Sanusi Gambarawa inaugurated the special drive in Kaduna, explaining it stems from a directive by the national headquarters to empower zonal commands. This decentralised approach lets each zone tackle traffic challenges unique to its area. The operation targets major offences such as tyre violations, road hazards, overloading and mixed loading of passengers and goods. All sector and unit commands in the zone will carry out enforcement alongside ongoing public enlightenment campaigns. Motorists and other road users are urged to cooperate fully with FRSC personnel. The corps will continue collaborating with transport unions and stakeholders to reduce crashes and save lives on Nigerian roads.
