CBN Spokesperson Hakama Sidi-Ali Wins 2026 Spokesperson of the Year Award

Central Bank of Nigeria spokesperson Hakama Sidi-Ali has been named Spokesperson of the Year at the 2026 National Spokespersons Awards in Abuja. The awards ceremony, held alongside the Economic Confidential Annual Lecture, recognised professionals and institutions for excellence in strategic communication, public affairs and crisis management. Kano State information commissioner Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya won Crisis Communicator of the Year. The awards jury said it received 171 nominations nationwide and selected 30 finalists across 15 categories after a multi-stage assessment of impact, innovation, campaign reach and supporting evidence. Other recipients included NNPC Limited’s Andy Odeh, Integrated Indigo Limited, the Federal Road Safety Corps, NITDA and the Centre for Crisis Communication.
