Hollywood star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is reportedly in talks to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the iconic X-Men villain Apocalypse. An entertainment insider on social media claims Marvel Studios is considering Johnson for the role as it ramps up its X-Men slate. If true, this would mark a major shift from his DC turn as Black Adam. Apocalypse first appeared in the 2016 film X-Men: Apocalypse, played by Oscar Isaac. Marvel president Kevin Feige has hinted familiar X-Men characters will feature in upcoming projects, including Avengers: Secret Wars.
