Morocco remains Africa’s highest-ranked side, rising to sixth in the world following its World Cup quarter-final run. Egypt moves up to third on the continent after reaching the Round of 16, while Senegal and Algeria both slip in the standings. Globally, Spain returns to No. 1 after winning the World Cup, with Argentina, France, England and Brazil completing the top five. FIFA will release its next rankings on October 7, 2026.
