Cameroonian Bishop Urges Women to Stop Pursuing Catholic Priests

Bishop Michael Bibi of the Catholic Diocese of Buea, Cameroon, has urged women and girls in the diocese to stop pursuing priests romantically. He reminded worshippers that Catholic priests have committed to celibacy and cannot marry or live as husbands. The bishop encouraged women seeking marriage to consider eligible single men instead.
