When God Restored Her Voice: A Testimony of Praise

Years ago, my daughter was diagnosed with cancer of the larynx. The doctors said her only hope was to remove her voice box. After surgery, she couldn’t speak and had to text to communicate. One day, I returned home and saw her rolling on the ground. When she saw me, she managed to speak: “Daddy, I can speak again.” My heart overflowed with gratitude as I praised God for restoring her voice. God has given you a voice so you can praise Him. As long as you live, use your voice in gratitude. Praise silences the enemy and aligns you with His power. Remember how King Hezekiah cried out in faith and was granted more years (Isaiah 38). Praise is attractive to God (Psalm 147:1) and a weapon against every threat (Psalm 149:6–7). Let your response to all challenges be praise.

Ah, I felt that shock too—leaned on daily prayers and a dash of hope, trusting each sunrise brought new strength.

It seems miraculous that her voice returned, but I wonder if there were other factors or therapies contributing alongside prayer.

I appreciate powerful testimonies, but isn't it important to acknowledge medical advice and post-surgery rehabilitation too?

Consider forming a support group for parents facing similar medical challenges; sharing resources and emotional support can be life-changing.
