Court Questions EFCC Over Property Dispute and Bail Application
A Federal High Court reportedly questioned the conduct of the EFCC in an ongoing dispute involving Rebecca Omokamo Godwin-Isaac. The court also declined an application to revoke her bail and keep her in custody until 26 October 2026. The case centres on ownership claims over Plots 1861 and 1862. The defence says the plots were tied to corporate entities and that key ownership claims have not been fully resolved. The prosecution disagrees, and the matter is still before the court. Another issue raised in court concerns an authorization document allegedly used to collect title papers, which officials said could not be found. The proceedings have now become a wider debate about due process, court orders, and the rule of law.
