FG Launches Renewed Hope FarmerMoni 3.0 in Ebonyi to Boost Smallholder Farming
The Federal Government, in partnership with Ebonyi State, has launched the Renewed Hope FarmerMoni 3.0 programme to offer collateral-free, interest-free loans to smallholder farmers. The launch in Abakaliki aims to boost productivity in rice, cassava, and livestock by providing up to ₦300,000 per beneficiary with flexible repayment over six to nine months. State officials highlighted investments in irrigation, rural roads, and markets, while the programme team urged transparency in beneficiary selection. Successful participants may access larger credit facilities through the Bank of Agriculture and NIRSAL. Many farmers across the state are expected to benefit, reinforcing efforts to strengthen food security, reduce rural poverty, and support sustainable agricultural growth under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
