Why Are We Stuck? Reflecting on Our Future, Race, and Unity
I wake up feeling depressed by our nation’s state. Overthinking about people who seem to hate themselves drains me. Are we planning for our future or just leaving everything to God? Whenever I share these worries, I am labeled “Yoruba,” “Igbo,” or “APC.” How did we let divisions go this far? I believe we must set aside our differences and unite for the sake of our shared identity and our children. Sometimes I wonder: if a global crisis hit today, would our mindset lead the black race to extinction? Many accept insults and degradation as their fate. Before it is too late, I vow to challenge these stereotypes and work for real change rather than embrace mediocrity.
