Gibbs-White Beats Nigerian-Born Okafor to April’s Premier League Player of the Month

Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White has claimed the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for April after a remarkable run of form. The midfielder scored four goals and set up one assist in three games. He struck a 15‐minute hat‐trick in a 4-1 win over Burnley before adding a goal and an assist in Forest’s 5-0 victory against Sunderland. Gibbs-White topped an eight‐man shortlist that included Nigerian-born Swiss forward Noah Okafor, and becomes only the second Nottingham Forest player to win the award after Chris Wood.
