Military, CJTF Arrest Suspected ISWAP Collaborator in Monguno, Borno
Troops from Operation Hadin Kai and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force arrested a suspected ISWAP collaborator in Monguno Local Government Area, Borno State. The operation took place around 1:27 p.m. on June 13, 2026, in the Charlie 4 area following an intelligence-led tip. Authorities recovered a spraying jerrycan, three bottles of pesticide and other materials believed to support terrorist activities. The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Abukar Abbagana, is now held by the Sector 3 Military Intelligence Brigade for further investigation. This arrest is part of ongoing efforts by Operation Hadin Kai to dismantle insurgent support networks and maintain security across the North-East. Troops remain vigilant as they carry out patrols and coordinated operations in the region.
