NOUN VC Uduma Urges Renewed Hope and Commitment to Education this Easter
Professor Uduma Oji Uduma, Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria, has called on the university community to embrace renewal and hope as Christians mark Easter Sunday. He described the occasion as a time to reflect on resurrection, resilience and the triumph of life over adversity. Quoting Luke 24:6 – “He is not here, but is risen” – he reminded Nigerians that what seems like an end can be a doorway to new beginnings. He highlighted NOUN’s mission to expand access to education and transform lives across diverse backgrounds. He encouraged students to remain steadfast despite challenges and commended staff for their dedication. He urged everyone to let go of fear, embrace courage and renew their sense of purpose. He wished all a joyful Easter celebration and optimism for the future.
