118 Suspects Nabbed and Weapons Seized in Lagos April Police Blitz
The Lagos State Police Command launched an intelligence-driven offensive in April, arresting 118 suspects linked to armed robbery, cultism, kidnapping and vandalism. Officers recovered pistols, cutlasses, hemp and other incriminating items across the state. Key raids in the Lekki corridor, Ikorodu and Lagos Island yielded 58 street crime suspects and two alleged kidnappers connected to two murders. Telecom power batteries stolen from network sites were also recovered following tips from a major provider. Separate operations in Iwaya, Ajao Estate, Festac and Anthony Bridge disrupted cult networks, seized local firearms and intercepted robbery attempts. Investigations are ongoing and all suspects will face court charges. The Commissioner of Police reaffirmed the command’s commitment to protect lives and property. He urged residents to continue providing timely, credible information to sustain public safety.
