Chief Sunday Esan of Okiki Films and Records International has opened a 7-acre film village at Idi Ori, Onidundu in Akinyele LGA, Ibadan. He shared photos and videos on Instagram, calling it a cultural sanctuary for authentic African storytelling. The site features traditional mud houses and ancient symbols. Esan says it will host epic productions that bring stories of kings, ancestors and spirits to life in their purest form. Yoruba Nollywood stars flooded the comments with congratulations. Veterans like Prince Jide Kosoko and Femi Adebayo praised the initiative and expressed pride in their colleagues’ work. The Oyo State police visited to discuss community security and anti-piracy measures. Local leaders have also improved access roads, and Esan’s 115-seater cinema stands ready to support this creative hub.
