Awka Monarch Charges Nine New Advisers to Drive Peace and Development
The Traditional Ruler of Awka Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Obi (Dr.) Gibson Nwabueze Nwosu, Eze Uzu II, has urged the nine newly installed members of the Cabinet Advisory Council to dedicate themselves to promoting peace, unity and sustainable development within the kingdom. The installation took place at the monarch’s palace on June 6. Inductees include chiefs and leaders from various communities, among them Chief Obiora Charles Anueyiagu of Umueri, Chief Jonathan Nzekwe of Umuonaga and Dr. Ikechukwu Felix Nwanna of Okperi. Speaking on behalf of the monarch, Palace Leader Engr. Benjamin Okoye highlighted the transparent year-long selection process. He charged the advisers to deploy their experience, wisdom and influence in fostering harmony and advancing progress across the kingdom. In response, the new advisers pledged loyalty to the throne and vowed to support initiatives that strengthen peace, preserve cultural heritage and drive meaningful development for all residents of Awka Kingdom.
