Lagos Launches 2026 Welfare Drive for State Pensioners
The Lagos State Government has begun distributing 2026 welfare packages to retired public servants across all divisions. The initiative, part of the THEMES+ agenda, aims to ensure pensioners enjoy dignity, comfort and peace of mind after years of service. At the launch in Agidingbi, LASPEC’s Director-General highlighted that the exercise goes beyond handing out items. It’s a celebration of retirees whose dedication helped build the state’s public institutions and drive its development. The programme starts in Ikeja and will roll out simultaneously in Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island and Epe. It underscores ongoing efforts to improve pension administration, guarantee prompt entitlements and strengthen support services for all pensioners.
