Borno Shuts and Relocates Mussa School After 42 Pupils Abducted
Borno State authorities have temporarily closed Government Day Secondary School in Mussa. This follows the recent abduction of 42 pupils by suspected insurgents. During a visit to the community, the Education Commissioner met military officers, local leaders and parents of the missing students. He expressed sympathy and assured families that rescue efforts have been intensified. The government has moved the entire school to Government Secondary School, Uba, under the Safe Schools Initiative. Officials also inspected facilities in Dille, Lassa and Uba to review security measures and protect students.
