Lagos to Launch Ambitious Industrial Policy 2025–2030, Aims to Cement State as Africa’s Manufacturing Hub

Lagos State will unveil its Industrial Policy 2025–2030 on April 30. It aims to position the state as Africa’s leading industrial and manufacturing hub. The strategy reflects months of stakeholder consultations and data-driven analysis. It seeks to diversify the economy, reduce import dependence and boost value addition across key sectors. Priority areas include agro-processing, manufacturing, creative industries, healthcare, the blue economy and digital trade. SMEs are central, with improved access to finance and streamlined regulations. Implementation is already underway through a N10 billion MSME financing initiative and the Imota Light Industrial Park. An Invest in Lagos Summit will follow to secure further commitments.
