LG Chairman Hails Troops for Arresting Kidnappers, Recovering ₦1.3m Ransom
The Executive Chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Area, Hon. Christopher Wallat, has praised Lt-Col Rasheed Braimoh and his troops for a successful raid that led to the arrest of suspected kidnappers and the recovery of ₦1.3 million. Lt-Col Braimoh, who commands Operation Enduring Peace Sector 9 and the 332 Artillery Regiment in Shendam, led forces to the criminals’ hideout. The recovered funds have since been safely returned to the victim’s family. Two months earlier, Sector 9 troops rescued another hostage and recovered ₦8 million during a similar operation. Wallat reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working with the military until all criminal elements are flushed out of the area. Braimoh credited Major General Folusho Oyinlola’s strategic leadership and ongoing support from government and military authorities. He added that interrogations are under way to dismantle the remaining syndicate members.
