Wike Dares Turaki-Led PDP to Open Abuja Office for Form Sales
At a media briefing in Abuja, Nyesom Wike accused senior PDP figures of fraud and political deception. He named former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, Governor Seyi Makinde and ex-minister Tanimu Turaki, alleging they were setting up illegitimate party structures and flouting court rulings. This clash comes amid a widening leadership battle over control of the PDP’s national apparatus. Rival camps disagree on the validity of meetings, caretaker arrangements and court interpretations, deepening uncertainty over who holds recognised authority in the party. Wike also demanded transparency on internal finances and urged party leaders to account for funds. Analysts warn that these unresolved legal and political disputes could further weaken cohesion as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.
