More than 200 schools across Ogun State will take part in the first RIYE Under-15 Athletics Circuit. This initiative aims to discover and nurture the next generation of track and field stars. At a press briefing in Abeokuta, organisers explained that the event provides a long-term platform for grassroots sports development. Young athletes from Remo, Ijebu, Yewa and Egba zones will compete in sprints, middle-distance races, jumps and relays. Qualifiers kick off at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena on June 15, with the grand finale set for June 26. Coaches and officials have assured participants of adequate security and welfare arrangements. Measures are also in place to prevent age cheating and ensure a credible championship.
