My Parents Are Ungrateful and Pressuring Me—Need Advice

I’m in my twenties and working hard to build my skills and start my own life. I give my best, but my parents stay rude and ungrateful. They never acknowledge my efforts and keep making life miserable for me. Every day I return home, I face their constant quarrels. I thought bringing a partner into the family might change their attitude, but I’m not ready to marry yet. I’m the only son with sisters, and their pressure is really affecting my confidence. I just want to know what I can do next. How do I handle their criticism and find peace? Any kind advice or suggestions will be much appreciated.

What steps have you taken to explain how their constant pressure and lack of gratitude affect your daily mood and motivation?

I agree, clearly outlining how their demands and ingratitude drain your energy could open a productive conversation.

It looks like whenever you share your achievements, the focus immediately shifts back to their own concerns instead of acknowledging your hard work.

Try setting aside a weekly time to talk calmly with them, sharing one success and one challenge each time to foster real appreciation.
