ADC Ward B Expels Rep. Adegeye Amid Anti-Party Allegations
Ward B of the African Democratic Congress in Amuwo-Odofin has voted to expel Hon. George Olawande Adegeye from the party. At an emergency meeting on April 8 in Festac Town, members accused the federal lawmaker of anti-party activities. They said he never formally joined the ADC, held events without consulting party leaders, and failed to meet the 2026 Electoral Act requirements for membership. The ward also alleged Adegeye interfered with the Lagos State Harmonization Committee’s list and tried to replace recognized leadership in both the ward and the local government. In a unanimous voice vote, members endorsed his expulsion. The notice has been forwarded to state and national ADC officials, underscoring rising tensions ahead of upcoming political contests in Lagos State.
