Army Arrests Two Brothers Supplying ISWAP Logistics in Damboa, Borno
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai arrested two brothers suspected of supplying logistics to ISWAP fighters during a farm protection patrol in Damboa Local Government Area. A security expert said the suspects, Audu Abdullahi (25) and Shettima Abdullahi (30), both from Kasabalari village, were intercepted on July 19 at Nzuda by soldiers of the 19 Battalion (Mechanised) and 25 Task Force Brigade Garrison. Authorities seized two bicycles, a mobile phone with SIM cards, an identity card, bicycle tyres and tubes, six containers of pesticide, medication, a small solar panel, a torchlight, locally made knives and other items. The brothers and the recovered exhibits are now in military custody for further investigation. This arrest is part of ongoing farm protection operations and efforts to disrupt terrorist logistics networks in the North-East. Troops remain on high alert to maintain pressure on insurgent elements.
