Dino Melaye Warns Tinubu’s ‘Paul Biya Ambition’ Will Fail in Nigeria

Former Senator Dino Melaye has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s perceived efforts to entrench prolonged rule. In a recent video on his social media page, Melaye warned that any attempt to emulate Cameroon’s long-serving leader Paul Biya in Nigeria would not succeed. Melaye described the current period as unprecedented and accused the president of showing little concern for citizens’ welfare.

No doubt! Melaye's caution fit open Nigerians eyes and force politicians to rethink their next moves.

I'm not convinced a single warning changes Nigeria's political path. Bigger factors usually drive real shifts.

Civil society groups should monitor any push for extended tenure closely and advocate for stronger term limit enforcement in Nigeria's constitution.
