NTA Brings Joy to Special Needs Children at Heart of Gold Hospice on Children’s Day
In a heartfelt Children’s Day tribute, the Nigerian Television Authority gathered at the Heart of Gold Children’s Hospice on Victoria Island. Staff from NTA Channel 7 and Channel 2 joined caregivers to celebrate children living with disabilities and special needs. Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Azonobi, Director of NTA Jos Network Centre, explained that the visit aimed to honour those often overlooked. He shared how his own brother overcame polio to become a successful chartered accountant, reminding everyone that disability does not define a child’s destiny. Mrs. Theresa Anozie, who founded the hospice in 2003, thanked NTA for years of consistent support. She called on society and government to do more for vulnerable children and offered advice for anyone planning to start a care home, stressing proper registration and safeguards for every child’s dignity.
