Ex-US Attorney General Pam Bondi Diagnosed With Thyroid Cancer and Named to Trump Advisory Council

Ex-US Attorney General Pam Bondi Diagnosed With Thyroid Cancer and Named to Trump Advisory Council

Former Attorney General Pam Bondi was removed from her post at the Justice Department last month. Shortly after, she learned she had thyroid cancer and underwent surgery and treatment. Bondi is now recovering and reports say she is doing well. Despite her sudden exit, she has been appointed to the Presidential Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. In her new role she will focus on national infrastructure and legal hurdles around artificial intelligence. She will work alongside leading tech executives from companies like Nvidia, Meta and Oracle. Vice President JD Vance praised the appointment as a valuable addition to the administration’s initiatives. Medical experts note thyroid cancer carries a five-year survival rate of over 98 percent. Bondi remains loyal to the administration, has thanked the president for his trust, and is still set to testify before the House Oversight Committee on the Epstein files.

I agree, her recent diagnosis could affect her availability and maybe shift her focus toward health issues on the advisory team.

It's interesting that she joins Trump's council so soon after her removal and health scare—makes you wonder about timing and motives.

I'm not convinced her health recovery alone qualifies her for a high-pressure political advisory role right away.

Perhaps she should focus on long-term wellness before diving into policy advising, ensuring she remains strong for the workload.
