DR Congo Squad Allowed but Fans Barred from US Over Ebola Ban

The DR Congo national team is expected to enter the United States for the World Cup despite an Ebola-related travel restriction. Under the CDC’s Title 42 order, non-US passport holders who have been in DR Congo, Uganda or South Sudan within the last 21 days cannot enter. Officials say the squad, currently training in Europe, will follow strict testing and isolation protocols similar to those for US returnees. Exemptions for fans are not anticipated.
