Atletico Madrid have lodged a formal complaint with UEFA after fireworks were set off outside their Shoreditch hotel in the early hours ahead of tonight’s Champions League semi-final second leg against Arsenal. According to reports in Marca, the first fireworks exploded at 1:30am, followed by another barrage 20 minutes later. At least one squad member was disturbed, and the club has raised concerns over the lack of security to prevent such incidents. Despite the disruption, head coach Diego Simeone confirmed his travelling squad includes Julian Alvarez, Giuliano Simeone, Marcos Llorente and David Hancko. Pablo Barrios and Nico Gonzalez miss out, while Alexander Sorloth returns to the group despite not featuring in recent matches.
